Fashion Week begins! But not before a morning must - coffee from my neighborhood favorite, Mudspot. Snag a peek inside my C.Wonder bag: Clif bar, Mark lip stain, Bliss body butter, Marc Jacobs wallet, Blistex, iPhone charger. You know, the essentials.
I love how fast weather changes in New York. Yesterday I was panicking about winter storm Nika and the insane amount of snow slash slush slash wetness she dropped on the city while trudging around in rain boots. Today I'm thanking the fashion gods that it's dry and I can wear regular shoes.
Official stop #1: a blow out at Serge Normant with John Frieda and Frizz Ease. My hairstylist convinced me to go big and I'm all for it. Bring on the large curls to pair with my bold lip plan for the week.
End result, shown off via a selfie in the cab on the way uptown to the first show of the season: BCBG.
At BCBG I'm seated directly across from Giada De Laurentiis - she's even cuter in person. The show is full of fur accents, including a muff, which I'm thrilled to see the return of, personally. I own two, so I can't wait to pull one out to wear around the city, ASAP.
Post lunch, I head to Chelsea Market to see Whitney Pozgay's presentation, a designer I recently interviewed for a #TakeoutTakeover video. I run into two good friends - designer Daniel Vosovic and editor Ben Setiawan. One reason I love, love, love Fashion Week is that it's like high school all over again - all your friends are in one location!
I have a minute between shows, so I pop into the new location of one of my #HealthyObsessions - Liquiteria for a Killer XX. Fashion Week in February is like the Sick Games, and I already feel a cold coming on, unfortunately.
Pressed juice in hand, I head to Milk Studios for Costello Tagliapietra, which is a professional woman's dream.
Around 7 pm, I grab Hallie of Corals + Cognacs and Jessica of Bows and Sequins to check out the Peter Pilotto for Target launch at Gotham Hall. The line to shop is IN-sane, but we peruse the presentation and take a few pictures.
We hop into a cab and head downtown to check out the Marc Jacobs / Daisy pop up shop in Soho. They have an adorable photobooth situation which we obviously cannot resist.
The completion of the first day of Fashion Week calls for margs plus chips and guac so we head into Dos Caminos to rest our feet, catch up on Instagrams, and chat before starting all over again!
