WEEKDAYS 2e|1p|c
Amber Tamblyn as Emily Quartermaine
Prior to landing her own show in 2003, Tamblyn got her start originating the character Dr. Emily Quartermaine (née Bowen), whose mother befriended Dr. Monica Quartermaine before dying from breast cancer. The Quartermaines adopted Emily, who later battled with substance abuse and overcame a rape before Tamblyn left Port Charles.
James Franco as Robert “Franco” Frank
He may be the Wizard of Oz now, but Franco spent some time in General Hospital before that journey. As Robert “Franco” Frank, he played the fraternal twin of Jason Morgan who mimics his brother’s criminal activity as a form of art and for revenge.
Vanessa Marcil as Brenda Barrett
Marcil go her start in Port Charles as Brenda Barrett, who was the crux of the famous love triangle between Sonny Corinthos and Jasper “Jax” Jacks. With the stress of handling her feelings for the two men in her life as well as being accused of murder, she ends up being institutionalized and later runs off to Italy with her and Sonny’s child, Alec.
Rena Sofer as Lois Cerullo
Sofer garnered a major music career without dropping one single during her time in Port Charles. As talent agent Lois Cerullo, she befriends Brenda Barrett to create L&B Records and worked with the likes of Miguel Morez and others but faced difficulties in her marriage to Ned Ashton and ultimately moved to Europe with him and their daughter to manage bands.
Rick Springfield as Noah Drake & Eli Love
We may know him as the man who wanted “Jesse’s Girl,” but Springfield got his start in showbiz as playboy Dr. Noah Drake and his rock-star lookalike, Eli Love, in 1981. His dalliances left him brokenhearted when he left in 1983, but he returned in 2005 an alcoholic who learns to sober up with help from his sons and later works with Doctors Without Borders. It wasn’t until 2007 that Springfield got to sing on the show!
Ricky Martin as Miguel Morez
Martin was making his transition from child star to the spark of the Latin Explosion when he made his way through Port Charles in 1994 as singer Miguel Morez. He was the protégé of Lois and Brenda at L&B Records and was engaged to Lily Rivera, who had his son Juan when they were both 16 and faced a hit placed on him by Lily’s father, Hernando Rivera, before he left in ‘96.
Elizabeth Taylor as Helena Cassadine
The silver-screen legend made her way to Port Charles as the first Helena Cassadine. As a fan of the show, Taylor played the widow of the villainous Mikkos Cassadine, who plotted to freeze the world but was stopped by supercouple Luke and Laura. She cursed the pair at their wedding and even kidnapped Laura as revenge!
Roseanne Barr as Jennifer Smith
At the height of her popularity, Barr appeared with her then-husband, Tom Arnold, in a three-episode arc as Jennifer Smith. As a former flame of Luke and as her husband becomes attracted to Laura, Smith plots to ensnare the couple but is foiled when the pair threaten to expose theft charges against Smith and Baggs.
Mark Hamill as Kent Murray
Before he became the iconic Luke Skywalker, he actually spent a season in Port Charles. Hamill played Jessie Brewer’s nephew and brother to Caroline Murray in 1972 before taking on Star Wars and later Batman: The Animated Series.
