The St. Regis 1904 Polo Cup Brings Fashion to the Field

Right on the heels of his Spring 2012 show, Jason Wu headed to the Greenwich Polo Club for the Inaugural St. Regis 1904 Polo Cup. Wu, who is a St. Regis Connoisseur, tossed the ceremonial ball. "I've never done anything like this before," he said.
Throughout the luncheon, Jazz at Lincoln Center treated guests to a special performance before heading onto the field for the National Anthem.
Peter Brant's Greenwich Polo Club was the perfect spot for this unique endeavor.
Valentino is making the most of his New York visit. The iconic designer was thrilled to have the opportunity to take in the polo match.
St. Regis Connoisseur Nacho Figueras greeted guests before playing on the St. Regis team. "Enjoy the great game, and the great art," said Figueras, who thanked Peter Brant for his contributions to the sport. "I hope you enjoy polo as much as I enjoy it."
After sipping on bubbly for the earlier part of the day, the crowd switched over to the St. Regis' signature cocktail.
Later in the afternoon, guests were treated to the hotel's legendary afternoon tea, complete with sandwiches, scones, and pastries. When the china settings ran out, many guests poured themselves tea in whisky glasses to warm up!
Before heading across the field for lunch, VIP guests were invited inside the Brant Foundation Art Study Center to check out Josh Smith's "American Dream."
