Anne Hathaway’s Blonde Moment

She shaved her head in Les Mis and went on to win an Oscar, so what was Anne Hathaway’s next move? Go blonde! The star stunned at the Met Gala (we’re starting to see a pattern here) with a cropped blonde coif. The looked was short-lived though as she quickly switched back to a brunette hue. Guess blondes don’t have more fun?
Beyoncé’s Pixie

Beyoncé’s mane of mermaid waves have been her signature since Destiny’s Child, so it was only natural for members of the Bey-hive (and the rest of the world for that matter) to freak out when she shared a few snaps of her closely cropped pixie. The buzz around the Instagram posts lasted longer than the cut itself as she quickly shifted into a bob, and back to her whip-worthy waves.
Charlize Theron’s Cropped Coif

Charlize Theron took a big risk when she shaved her head for her role in Mad Max: Fury Road, and many wondered how the star would look as the cut grew out. The worry went out the window when she stepped on the Oscar’s red carpet with a platinum pixie, a far cry from her original buzz cut for the film, ensuring she was not only best dressed but best tressed as well.
Jennifer Aniston’s Bob

We have to give ourselves a pat on the back for this one. Jennifer Aniston, purveyor of “The Rachel,” admitted to Glam that she wanted to test-drive an Anna Wintour-style bob and in just a few short months, she finally committed to the cut. Before then, the last time she diverted from her signature sun-kissed stands was back in 2001!
Jennifer Hudson’s Playful Pixie

Jennifer Hudson waves have been a constant even as she slimmed down, so she surprised many when she debuted her freshly cut pixie at the taping of Black Girls Rock. She began her transition to shorter styles by rocking a long bob during the summer, so the plunge into the pixie was naturally the next step.
Kim Kardashian’s Post-Baby Blonde

As North West celebrated her first three months, Kim Kardashian shook up her look with a fresh blonde ‘do. Though it isn’t the first time she’s bleached her strands, it was the first time the reality star debuted the look away from the red carpet, instead saving it for a friend’s barbecue.
Michelle Obama’s Bangs

All eyes are on what Michelle Obama wears when she’s out and about, but her hair stepped into the spotlight right before the inauguration. The FLOTUS debuted bangs as she shared her first photo on her Twitter handle! Turns out it was part of her “mid-life crisis.” Though she’s allowed them to grow out, we still loved her fringe!
Zooey Deschanel Sans Bangs

There was one shocking look at the Met Gala that didn’t involve headpieces, color, or braids, and boy, did it cause a stir! Zooey Deschanel’s signature bangs were nowhere to be found causing the star to look unrecognizable on the red carpet. Never fear! Her bangs have since returned and all is right in the world once again.
The Met’s Mass of Undercuts

The Met Gala’s punk theme invited a flurry of interpretations for designers and hairstylists alike. While few opted for a hair shade switch, the most popular look was the faux undercut. Whether braided or pulled back, celebs like Miranda Kerr and Sienna Miller all rocked the look on the red carpet.
Rihanna’s Daring Doobie

To most, a doobie is in no way a style, as it’s meant to preserve straight styles while you sleep. But leave it to bad gal Rihanna to rock the look on stage while accepting her Icon award during this year’s American Music Awards. Whatever side of the debate you are on, this is one beauty secret that isn’t going back in the box any time soon!
