In other Saks news today, the retailer will host its second Beauty Editor’s Day to benefit the Look Good Feel Better organization.

Some of the biggest beauty editors from our favorite print publications will offer their sage advice and recommendations to beauty buffs at the New York flagship on August 1st. For $30, skin savants, makeup mavens, fragrance fanatics, and more can sit one-on-one with their editor and a beauty brand ambassador to talk trends, receive a mini-service, and a free gift, reports Women’s Wear Daily.

The Beauty Editor’s Day help the retailer raise $85,000 last year to help provide workshops for those living with cancer with free workshops along with support to manage the appearance-related side effects of the disease around the world. “This is an amazing opportunity to bring together the manufacturing and publishing elements of the beauty industry,” said Louanne Roarke, executive director of the Personal Care Products Council Foundation and its charitable program Look Good Feel Better.

While we’re not participating in the event, we’re glad to see beauty insiders giving back to such a great cause by providing their know-how to their readers!
