Star Scoop: Beyoncé Documentary to Air on HBO, Kendall Jenner Scores Miss VOGUE Cover, ‘Casablanca’ Turns 70

Can we expect a deeper look into the über-private life of entertainer extraordinaire Beyoncé Knowles? According to the singer’s own website, we most certainly can. The “Love on Top” singer is making her documentary directorial debut next year for an exclusive HBO special. The still untitled project will give an intimate look at Knowles’ life beyond Sasha Fierce and will feature performance footage along with confessional interviews. The doc will air on February 16, 2013, two weeks after Knowles’ halftime Superbowl XLVII spectacular. [GlamBuzz]

The Copenhagen theater that was on chart to debut a play based on the late Amy Winehouse, has cancelled the production. Amy, derived from a series of interviews, newspaper clips, and performances, was set to premiere on January 30, but was halted after the singer’s family blocked the use of Winehouse’s music and photos. Birkhead was cast by Guess creative director Paul Marciano for Guess Kids alongside producer Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds‘ daughter, Peyton Edmonds.
