Don’t call it a comeback. Britney Spears is back with a little help from Will.I.Am. The “Toxic” singer is featured on the rapper’s newest single, “Scream and Shout,” and appears in his video for the song, channeling the Black Eyed Peas frontman’s futuristic, party vibe. The duo continued their collaboration from the studio to the T.V. set when Spears chose the BEP member as a mentor for contestants on “X-Factor.” [E! Online]

Selena Gomez spread good cheer with the Make-A-Wish Foundation by making a young fan’s dreams come true. The new Adidas NEO spokesmodel worked with the organization to surprise 10-year-old Frehley Gilmore, who was diagnosed with stage 3-4 cancer last year. And the heartwarming exchange was all caught by “Good Morning America.” [ABC News]

The buzzed-about independent film “Beasts of the Southern Wild” is making even more waves thanks to a pint-sized breakout star. Nine-year-old Quvenzhané Wallis, who stars as a homeless child in the film, has been added to the short list of Best Actress hopefuls for the biggest award of the season, The Oscars. If she does make the ballot, it would make Wallis the youngest contender in that category’s history. [Huffington Post]

This year’s Spike Video Game Awards is going to be bigger than ever. The show is not calling on one major star to host the gaming ceremony, but five. Samuel L. Jackson, who has held VGA hosting duties four times already, will be joined by former hosts Zachary Levi, Snoop Lion, Jack Black, and Neil Patrick Harris for the live December 7 event. [Yahoo News]
