Star Scoop: Maroon 5 x Kelly Clarkson Tour, Chris Brown Back with ‘Fine China,’ Demi Lovato Dresses Down for New Single

Kelly Clarkson may not have known R&B star Miguel when asking to collaborate with the singer after his Grammy Awards performance, but she is cozy with the guys of Maroon 5; so much so that the “Stronger” singer is joining the “Moves Like Jagger” band on tour this summer. Clarkson and the Adam Levine-led rockers are headlining the Honda Civic Tour, set for an August 1st debut. [Billboard]

Chris Brown opened up to TODAY Show anchor Matt Lauer about his relationship with Rihanna and his new album, set to this shelves this summer with a new “Fine China” single leading the way. He confirmed that he and the River Island designer are absolutely on, and that “she knows my heart, and I know her heart. So I’m not really focused on the negative.” And, for true fans of the “Nobody’s Business” pair, Brown revealed that he and Rih will be releasing a new duet, “Put It Up.” [E! Online]

Selena Gomez isn’t the only Disney alum who’s all grown up. Demi Lovato is set to debut a more sophisticated sound with her new, self-titled album. The “Heart Attack” singer announced today that she’ll be releasing a new record, Demi, and graced her fans with the cover art for her upcoming release. ”I’m incredibly proud of this album,” Lovato said in a statement. “It’s better than anything I have ever done! I experimented with a variety of different sounds and poured my heart into writing these songs.” [Us Magazine]

Acclaimed actor William Macy is making his directorial debut with a smorgasbord of talent to lead his new musical drama’s cast. Rudderless, about a father who copes with his musician son’s death by performing music, has Billy Crudup, Anton Yelchin, Selena Gomez, and Laurence Fishburne listed at the top of the bill.
