Emceed by Perri Peltz, the awards ceremony honored education reform advocates John Legend, Dr. Kelly Posner Gerstenhaber, who wore a black draped one-shoulder Alexander Wang dress, and NBC News’ Education Nation; Luke Russert accepted on NBC’s behalf. Highlights from the evening included a performance by students from P.S. 32 in the Bronx’s chorus and a live auction by CK Swett of Christie’s.
