Stella-McCartney-Fall-2014

DESIGNER: Stella McCartney

INSPIRATION: Dressed up aesthetic with a sporty attitude.

TRENDS: McCarthy’s menswear inspired silhouettes were given feminine flavor via a swirled piping that embellished pieces throughout the collection. Wool separates included slouchy stirrup trousers and oversized blazers, accessorized with color blocked vegan leather flatforms. Embroidered anorak coats and draped knit dresses were also reoccurring themes. The line concluded with a set of fringed minis and jumpsuits.

PALETTE: Black, navy, burgundy, emerald, kelly green, heather grey, orange-brown.

WHO WAS THERE: Rihanna, Clemence Poesy, Miroslava Duma, and Anna Wintour in the front row. Cara Delevingne and Joan Smalls, who had a dance party on the catwalk.

WHO SHOULD WEAR IT: Ladies who value “energy,” “movement,” and “function” in their clothing while also prioritizing modernity and smart fashion.
