Beginning on Monday, Big Apple commuters who walk through the Bryant Park subway station will be greeted by the first-ever, intelligent vending experience. The L’Oréal Paris Intelligent Color Experience will allow the user to see their reflection in a full length mirror with cameras that will capture the colors she’s wearing in order to suggest coordinated eye, lip, and nail shades from the brand’s Color Riche range to complement or clash with her ensemble. Suggested provided, she’ll be able to purchase the items right there with a swipe of a credit card.
The virtual experience was unveiled in the midst of the morning rush on Wednesday where Coco Rocha was on-hand for the ribbon cutting and was the first to step up to the new experience. The socially savvy New York model, who once participated in a flash mob on a train, admitted she treats the subway as a game. “I laugh because I make it a game to not touch anything on the train and hold my core. Meanwhile, I’m putting on my makeup,” she explained. “I’m a sweat-er, so you have to figure out get down here and still look good once you come back up.”
