• Learn something new. This one is exciting because learning is bliss! My plan is to learn one new thing every six months - a passionate topic to enrich both my personal and work life. This summer I'm getting my feet wet in photography. I want to express my feelings, thoughts and inspire others through beautiful images for my upcoming project!

  • A weekly food planner. There are two main reasons as to why I want to start a food planner - to eat balanced meals and to reduce eating out expenses. Simple yet well-thought-out meals will make grocery shopping and cooking at home much easier. Plus, it will stop my husband and I from impulse eating. More "real" food and less junk food!  Life is better on so many levels when you eat well!

  • Daily morning workouts. The best time for me (and many) to exercise is in the morning before work begins. I have figured out a couple ways to enjoy my morning workouts. First, I go out and play tennis. I really enjoy playing so it doesn't feel like working out honestly. At home, I watch my favorite YouTube podcasts or videos while doing light cardio. Time flies much faster this way.

  • Daily schedule. It's time to track my hours to have a clear understanding of what I do with my time. I want to make each day count.  It doesn't necessarily mean a productive day but a day well spent on things that really matter. I'm going to be better about scheduling time throughout the day and week so that every day is not frivolously wasted. Plus, I can always look backwards and track progress.

  • Get rid of stuff. It's definitely something that I've been wanting to do. I'm a big believer in the less is more lifestyle. A decluttered home will bring contentment and a peace of mind which I desperately need. I'm going to tackle our closets first. More than half of our wardrobe will be either donated or sold.  Eventually, we will enjoy our entire home with more space and less stuff!

  • Introspection. More than ever before, I realize the importance of stepping back to re-evaluate and reflect. The more I know about myself, the more my vision and purpose become clear.  I need to look within more often to get the most out of this life.  Like going deep sea diving versus spending time swimming in a shallow pond; you get to understand yourself at the core.

  • Enjoy the great outdoors! Yes, nature never fails to lift up my spirits. I have spent the majority of my time in front of a screen. This unhealthy routine will be balanced with more time spent outside. I'm looking forward to starting my local outdoors journey within my beautiful state of North Carolina. Jordan Lake, here we come baby!
