• Avocado, fruits, and nuts: Perfect ingredients for a healthy breakfast salad. Just look at the beautiful colors from all these fresh fruits. Think phytochemicals. You can substitute fruits and nuts, but do keep the avocado as a key ingredient as it is a great source of good fats that are essential to an overall healthy diet.

  • Smoked salmon: If you want a tasty, hearty breakfast, consider using smoked salmon. All you need is a couple of pieces of sliced bread or a bagel and your favorite additions. I love red onions, capers, and sour cream. This meal makes for a perfect brunch as well!

  • Smoothies: Smoothies are my go-to breakfast choice. They are incredibly delicious with tons of health benefits, depending on what you put in. Plus, preparation is a breeze. Another advantage of smoothies is that you can customize them according to your unique tastes by switching up the ingredients. Bon appétit.

  • Vegan protein bars: It can't get any easier than premade protein bars. Go for breakfast bars that are jam-packed with goodness, including organic, green, and wholesome ingredients. Some are quite pricey, so shop around to choose the best ones to fit your budget. Personally, I love anything with dark chocolate or coconut.

  • Blueberries: A handful of fresh berries a day keeps the doctor away! Breakfast doesn't have to be fancy or complicated. Who has a ton of time to cook in the morning? Snack on raw blueberries to boost your immune system. They are low in calories and oh-so-delicious. Pair them with yogurt and nuts, or drizzle some dark chocolate syrup on them. But, frankly, I like them plain. That's just me.

  • Matcha powder: You can sprinkle this nutritious green powder on practically anything, from milk to salads to soups. Matcha will provide a much-needed energy boost to kick-start the day. When you are in a hurry in the morning, just blend it into juice or milk. I usually incorporate it into my morning smoothies.

  • Organic health drinks: Grab a bottle of pre-made and prepackaged juice or smoothies that are made with organic fruits and veggies. They are great when you are in a hurry or as an extra nutrition/energy boost for the morning. Simply wonderful for those who are not fans of big breakfasts. The only downside is the price, especially when consumed daily.
