• Whether you're vegan/vegetarian, or if you eat meat, this is the place for you. From turkey burgers to tempeh burgers, this is the place to eat if you have a friend or, in my case, husband who is vegetarian. We like to eat here usually on Sunday when we are heading out of South Lake Tahoe. I like to get the breakfast burrito bowl with a yerba mate tea. Great place for brunch with your kids!

  • When driving on the Kingsbury Grade, up Route 207, be careful not to miss this INCREDIBLE restaurant. You will want to go to this restaurant. We have gone here almost every year to host a managers' retreat, and it has the best service, food, and drinks. Try the filet mignon and lobster with a Moscow mule or martini. The view is amazing, and the prices are high. But this is the place to celebrate!

  • You will encounter this lively restaurant while visiting the Heavenly Village shops. Outside, you can order drinks and sit by the fire. Inside, you can eat as much as you like. This restaurant feels like a high in Mongolian barbecue. The selection is delicious, and the cooks give you a show. Make sure to tip them big, because they know what they're doing!

  • Saturday breakfast with the family can become a tradition at Heidi's. This bright-yellow restaurant can be found on Lake Tahoe Boulevard. If you are going on a Saturday morning, make sure you get there early. The larger the party, the harder it is to get a table. But their waffles are the best!

  • This is another waffle shop that we like to visit when we are in South Lake Tahoe for the weekend. Last time I was there, I believe they only took cash. And the food was so good that I didn't care. Great place to meet when your party is hungover!

  • Another spot in the Heavenly Village that is worth the wait. If you are traveling up the gondola or skiing for the day, stop here to get a delicious carb overload!

  • If you want a burger while you are in South Lake Tahoe, take a ride on the wild side and eat at Big Daddy's Burgers. It also has a veggie option for the Lake Tahoe hippies and my husband. Plus, you want to grab a beer and a basket of fires, and you can call it a night.
