• Tracy Porter. Tracy has been my inspiration for several years going back to when I first started blogging. I don't know how she does it all!  She is a passionate entrepreneur, a mother of four boys, and a wife.  Not to mention, she cares for a herd of animals daily. I love her creative soul and optimism for experiencing everything to the fullest...even in the midst of a busy life.

  • Jessica Alba. Jessica’s determination as founder of the Honest Company was based on wanting to solve problems she realized were not just her own, but issues for mothers everywhere. She's a thoughtful parent who also cares for the environment, and what a wonderful role model she is for her children. Her brand has become one of my go-to resources for safe, gentle household products.

She believes in hard work no matter where she is in life and continues to reinvent herself. Regardless of her abundant wealth and fame, she focuses on teaching her kids humility and responsibility.

  • Sheila Marcelo. Being an entrepreneur and CEO herself, Sheila truly understands the hardship of the balancing act needed to raise a family and run a business at the same time. She saw the opportunity from her own struggles to start Care.com. Now the company is a valuable resource for people and families (including working moms) to find quality care to help out in their everyday lives.

  • J.K. Rowling. This renowned author and billionaire was once a poor, single parent. She is the epitome of not giving up your passion. Rowling struggled as a single mother and ended up providing so much more for her daughter than she ever imagined. Now, she is encouraging women to think outside of the box, saying that working a 9-to-5 job is not the only answer or way out of poverty.

  • Diane von Furstenberg. She is not only an extraordinary designer but also an inspiring woman and mother. Diane clearly understands (and taught her children) the importance of being independent, exuding confidence, and having a sense of self-worth. Diane gives credit to her own mother for the woman that she ultimately became.

  • Angelina Jolie. This speech sums up her character perfectly. It's immensely impressive to witness a working mom who is also dedicated to bringing positive change to the world. To me, the best mother has a huge heart—not just for her own biological children but also for the well-being of others—and Angelina is a mother to so many.
