The store’s founder Rachel Shechtman teamed up with Made Movement and Flint and Tinder “to help consumers better understand the economic impact of their purchase,” according to Women’s Wear Daily. In addition to selling items in the boutique, designers and brands can pitch products to Made Movement with the hopes of having them sold in-store. Flint and Tinder’s contribution is to also support start-ups, adding one sustainable job to America’s supply chain for 1,000 pairs of undies the company sells.
The goodies sold in the boutique will be housed among the store’s hand-painted walls, the summer vacation-inspired concept houses brand by their area of origin, according to WWD. Made in America is available now at Story until August 6th.
