STRENGTHEN YOUR STRANDS

STRENGTHEN YOUR STRANDSTo avoid losing the strands you see in your brush or the shower, you must strengthen your locks. These stray strands, known as hair fall, are caused by breakage.  Here are three tips to avoid breakage.

Be Gentle
Use a wide-toothed comb when your hair is damp, and never comb or brush your hair when it’s sopping wet, as wet hair is more fragile. Using a brush or a fine-toothed comb can be too rough on your hair, causing friction and breakage. Avoid pulling your hair back too tight. When wearing your hair up, make sure to use seamless hair accessories that won’t pull or snag at your strands.

Try a Treatment
We love Garnier Hair Fall Strand Saver Anti-Breakage Spray because it’s formulated with biotin and fruit vitamins to keep hair healthy. To use, hold the bottle 6 to 8 inches from your strands. Spray evenly throughout damp or dry hair, from root to tip. Massage into scalp for one minute and do not rinse.

Take Your Vitamins
Not getting enough nutrients can lead to hair breakage, among other health woes. A diet rich in vitamin E, vitamin C, and vitamin B-complex can help stop breakage by promoting healthy hair growth and preventing hair loss. Nuts and salmon are two “healthy hair foods” to add to your diet.
