She may not readily accept her It girl status, but Alexa Chung is certainly one of fashion’s favorite girls. Consumers want more American-made clothes and Lucky Brand is answering the call. The Los Angeles-based label is launching a Made in America denim capsule this fall that will be sourced from mills in Greensboro, North Carolina and manufactured in L.A. and Tullahoma, Tennessee. Though locally sourced, Lucky Brand CEO David DeMattei says the new “Made in the U.S. of A” offerings won’t break the bank. “Everyone out there who is thinking about doing it at much higher prices,” than the $129 price tag of Lucky’s upcoming collection. [WWD]

Since its New York City launch in 2008, Public School has grown to be a favorite among the city’s fashionable men. Lucky for us girls, the Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne-run label is making way for the fairer sex. “He’s a little reluctant,” Chow said about his design partner, “but women’s is definitely our next big move.” While the two remained mum on a launch date for womenswear, they did explain that the Public School woman will share the “modern, sophisticated, and edgy” aesthetic of the P.S. man.
