Both brands are entering the tableware space to fashion your dining room with enviable porcelain wares: Hermès will go vintage with “A Sporting Life” Benoit-Pierre Emery-designed line while Lacroix will introduce watercolor stripes and butterflies. While Raf Simons continues to dazzle our sartorial senses with his exquisite collections for Christian Dior, the designer is taking on a new task: costume design for Sigourney Weaver. He will create looks for Weaver and her co-star Isabelle Huppert for their new film, Body Art, based on the 2001 novel by Don DeLillo. This is a return to the silver screen for Simons who was nominated for an Academy Award for his costume design in Tilda Swinton‘s This is Love. [VOGUE UK]

It looks like the good folks at luxury handbag and accessories company Coach are ready for a new year and possibly a new ready-to-wear line. Chairman and CEO Lew Frankfort told WWD that the company is by no means static and repositioning for more footwear offerings and expansion to include clothes to match its consumers’ lifestyles.
