Vogue Germany got not one, but two doses of Nicole Kidman for its August 2013 cover. The Jimmy Choo ambassador posed for photographers Patrick Demarchelier (responsible for Beyoncé‘s second Vogue cover) and Camilla Akrans, who lensed a brunette Candice Swanepoel for Blumarine. Bruce Weber also joins in on the Kidman edition, shooting her for a complementary editorial inside the magazine. [Fashion Gone Rogue]

The Allure of Kate Moss lives on for the August cover of the self-proclaimed “beauty expert” glossy. The Kerastase authority shed the dark tresses that framed her face for Versace’s Fall 2013 campaign, and bounced back to blonde roots while downplaying her icon status. “I try and be a little bit chic,” she says in the feature. As if, for Moss, that’s a hard thing to do. [Fashion Gone Rogue]

Remember that #SecretProject we told you Steven Klein cooked up with Madonna? Well, the purpose of their stirring collaboration has finally been revealed. The pair teamed up with streetwear brand Defend Paris to benefit various human rights efforts. Chris Brown and Steve Aoki have been seen wearing the clothing line while Rihanna and Lady Gaga are rumored to be joining Klein on a new series of videos for the philanthropic campaign. [WWD]

When your significant other is one of the most sought-after designers in the industry (hey, Banana Republic!), it only makes sense that you let her dress you up for your big comeback. That’s the logic that has Mick Jagger moving on his 50 & Counting tour with the Rolling Stones. Girlfriend L’Wren Scott outfitted the hip hexagenarian in all of his fits for the show, including a jacket that paid homage to the butterflies the Stones released during a 1969 show, and “glamouflage” pieces featuring embroidered leaf motifs. It turns out the man behind those iconic Bill Cosby sweaters didn’t actually design them with television fame in mind. In fact, they originated as a gift for The Cosby Show‘s title character and evolved to a fan favorite that mark a definitive moment in pop culture. “He put it on and liked it, and then he had to go on for the camera, so he kept it on and did his sequence in that,” said designer Koos van der Akker. “Then a couple of weeks later there was all kinds of mail… saying, ‘Where did you get this sweater?’ So he called and said,‘I would like some more sweaters, can you do that?’’ The rest is history… or a Tumblr blog. What better person to help Max Mara celebrate the launch of its JBag than Jennifer Garner? The collaboration marks the first time Max Mara has used a celebrity to advertise its products, Garner’s first high fashion campaign, and the brand’s first accessories-centric ad. “Jennifer Garner is a real woman—not a cover girl, not a starlet—and she has different interests, a family, and values,” Max Mara chairman Luigi Maramotti told Women’s Wear Daily. “She is a real woman and embodies the Max Mara woman, she perfectly reflects our image.” [Racked]

Tyra’s got bank and she invests wisely. Model-turned-media mogul Tyra Banks joined Ashton Kutcher and GuyOseary as an investor of The Hunt, a community-driven platform that makes photos shared across social media shoppable. “The Hunt’s fast growth to date is largely based on our highly engaged and passionate community which we are thrilled to welcome Tyra Banks to,” said Tim Weingarten, co-founder and CEO. “The desire to spot style trends on the street, share with a like-minded community, and then help one another hunt down matching products is proving to be a natural online extension of our existing behavior.”
