Style Scoop: Nina Garcia Named Creative Director at ‘Marie Claire,’ Hedi Slimane’s Menswear at YSL, Versace for Lady Gaga Tour?

Nina Garcia just received a promotions at Marie Claire. The magazine’s former fashion director will now answer to the call of creative director. Garcia, who became more visible following her role as a judge on Heidi Klum‘s Project Runway, will be joined by the glossy’s new artistic director, Alex Gonzalez, who joins the MC team from W magazine. Hedi Slimane‘s not done with his revamp at (Yves) Saint Laurent just yet. After a serious rebranding spree, we get to see the new creative director’s first menswear creations for the label. And believe us when we say there’s plenty of pieces that the ladies will be clamoring for, too! [GQ]

Repetto, the French line responsible for fashioning ballerinas far and wide, is pirouetting away from the bar and right into the ready-to-wear lane. The company will be releasing its “La Garde-Robe Repetto” collection this fall, with a November 28 premiere and a December 5 sale date.
