Pharrell x Adidas is on the rise. The Oscar-nominated polymath is following up his Uniqlo and Comme des Garçons collaborations with a “long-term partnership” with the athletic apparel brand. His company, Bionic Yarn—which repurposes oceanic plastic debris into wearable textiles—will provide fabric for the new fashion front. Your move, Kanye. [Fashionista]

Levi’s is cutting costs… and jobs. The denim brand announced that it will end 800 jobs over the next 12 to 18 months in an effort to curb expenses by up to $200 million, become more competitive in the marketplace, eliminate job redundancies, and improve the company’s financial health. [Vogue UK]

Kohl’s is adding more designer duds to its stock. Elie Tahari will be creating a limited-edition, Fall 2014 collection as part of the retailer’s DesigNation series, joining the likes of Narciso Rodriguez, Catherine Malandrino, and Derek Lam. [WWD]

A week after the fashion industry was hit with the untimely death of L’Wren Scott, it is seeking help to find a missing member of the New York City fashion community. Jay Ott, a Brooklyn-based creative who works at fashion investment firm The Dock Group, has been declared missing since March 22nd. Anyone with information on his disappearance is asked to contact the NYPD’s 90th Precinct at 718.963.5368 or email findjayott@gmail.com. [Racked]
