Style Scoop: Badgal for Balmain, DVF Gets Real, How Yoncé Defines Sexy

It’s a dream come true for Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing who tapped his favorite badgal for the house’s Spring 2014 campaign. “When the woman that inspires you wears your creations, your vision feels complete,” the 27-year-old designer said. “Not compromising, fresh, modern, the icon of my generation, Rihanna embodies my vision of Balmain in this new campaign. Thanks to Diane von Furstenberg, we won’t be turning the channel on reality television just yet. The wrap dress originator is foraying into the genre to find her next 20-25 year-old (looking) brand ambassador. The show will cast eight millennial fashionistas  who will contend to rep DVF “at cultural happenings, store openings, premier fashion events, and… philanthropic endeavors.” [Glam]

Beyoncé‘s latest album is undeniably her sexiest yet, but as “Yoncé” director Ricky Saiz asserts, it’s not in the same vein as younger pop stars du jour. “I don’t want Beyoncé to look like an American Apparel model,” he said of the clip starring Joan SmallsChanel Iman, and Jourdan Dunn. “I wanted to do something sexy and provocative, but not so overt.
