Style Muse: Elizabeth Olsen

By  October 31, 2011

Elizabeth Olsen has been making quite the name for herself. The young actress is one of filmdom’s rising stars and has handled all the attention with style and grace. Mary-Kate and Ashley’s cooler, more charismatic younger sister is generating tremendous buzz for her performance in Martha Marcy May Marlene. Designers are already clamoring to dress her for awards season. Though Olsen seems to take her craft more seriously than she does her sartorial choices, she still manages to look amazing. We caught up with the actress to talk fashion.

What’s your take on fashion?
The whole fashion thing makes me nervous! Fashion weeks scare me. It’s all a bit much.

How would you describe your personal style?
Comfortable and a little masculine.

I know you have some family loyalties, but are there any other brands you absolutely love?
I love Chanel … Celine … Carven, and, of course Stella McCartney. I love masculine suits with a feminine twist. That’s kind of where I am.

What are your makeup must-haves?
Mascara is essential.

Are you a big shopper?
I’ve become a bigger shopper. I used to be the worst person to shop with because if I didn’t see something I liked immediately, I would walk out—and no one wants to shop with someone like that. I’ve been doing lots of online shopping. I hit X before checking out so I can relieve the feeling of shopping.
