T.J. Maxx Mission #3: Mixed Media Style

Fall fashion is all about layering, and these 23 Glam Maxxinistas know how to take it to a whole new level by utilizing mixed-media styling tricks. On their third trip to T.J.Maxx, these ladies turned to different types of textures, multiple prints, and seemingly clashing colors to create looks with a whole lot of juxtaposition going on. You’ll be surprised by the brilliant results.

1. A trick to easy print pairing is sticking to like colors, which is how Living in Color Print nailed her mixed-media look. This #maxxinista matched a metallic silver and black tweed jacket over a similarly colored polka-dot dress, using dark stockings and leather booties to tie the ensemble together.

2. It’s clear that mixing materials and patterns comes second nature to Corals and Cognacs, a self proclaimed “Print Master.” She paired leopard booties and a black and white grid patterned top, using neutral accessories to tie the two pieces together.

3. Stylish stripes, cool camo, wild animal print—there’s a lot going on with A Dash of Details’ mixed-media style, but she nails her brilliantly blended ensemble. Lucky for us, she provides a step-by-step process, too, on how she achieved the enviable look.

4. We’re big fans of leopard print mixed into any look, especially when it’s paired with stripes. Pop of Style shows us how, with a nautical dress and a wild blazer on top. Fierce, for serious.
