Chloë Grace Moretz will return to her role as the foul-mouthed super heroine, Hit Girl, this Friday, but the young actress opted for a softer edge for her Teen Choice Awards ensemble. Makeup artist Mai Quynh, who prepped Ginnifer Goodwin to go punk earlier this year, added a pop of color to the eye and left the rest of her face natural to keep the focus on her vibrant Christopher Kane dress. Here she shares how you can nab the fresh faced look for yourself.
Quynh first applied Lancôme’s Bienfait Multi-Vital SPF 30 Lotion to keep Moretz’s skin safe from the sun’s rays before layering the brand’s LA Base Pro under the Teint Visionnaire in 100 Ivoire N. She then added a rosy flush to her cheeks with a bit of the Blush Subtil in Soft Pink and sealed it in with a dusting of the Translucence Powder in 100 Ivoire.
For the eyes, Quynh dusted on the taupe hue of the Hypnôse Drama ‘It Accessories’ 5-Pan-Palette. She then added a sea-inspired liner look using the Le Stylos in Turquoise and Sapphire and a few coats of the Hypnôse Drama in Black – all to make eyes pop.
Finally, Quynh slicked on a touch of the Rouge in Love in Lasting Kiss to give Moretz a plush pout before she stepped onto the blue carpet.
