The Scent of Spring

By  May 12, 2009

All the blooming flowers and much-needed sunshine have me jonesing for a fresh spring fragrance. But choosing the perfect perfume can be more difficult than finding the perfect guy. There is nothing worse than spending hours in a store sniffing away, only to buy something that you discover is super offensive the first day you wear it out. Lucky for you, GlamBlush chatted with Ron Robinson, the owner of Apothia fragrance, to get some expert tips on how to pick the perfect perfume, and it’s actually pretty simple!

Just make sure you take your time when testing new scents. Says Robinson, “Try it on skin and wear it for a few moments. Enjoy the dry down and the changes that occur in the fragrance. If you can have a clear visceral reaction to a fragrance-buy it and wear it.” One good option is the latest perfume from Apothia, Pearl. Notes of Yuzu Rind and Pink Jasmine make for a clean and totally chic scent and the bottle is gorgeous. Says Robinson, “I wanted a fragrance that was able to transition and be a modern classic fragrance. Just like the gem, it is delicate yet elegant and powerful.”

Apothia Pearl Eau De Parfum is available at from $5-$80.
