Designer: Amy Smilovic
Inspiration: Utilitarian, workwear type clothing featuring clean lines and boxy silhouettes, styled in a contemporary and feminine fashion.
Themes: Paint splattered and brushstroke prints decorated slim trousers, baggy bermudas, and industrial jumpsuits, but with Smilovic’s meticulous structuring, cinched waists, and careful cuts, the looks evoked a sense of casually chic fashion, not blue collar workwear. The luxuriously lined ballgown midi skirts featured in the collection, although a style from decades past, boasted an especially modern appeal with graphic patterns and paired with laid back leather camis and boxy crop tops. Such pieces fit seamlessly into the rest of the modern collection of sporty sweatshirts, lapeled moto jackets, and neoprene zipped up skater dresses without looking unfittingly dated.
Colors: black, camo green, navy chambray, black leather, multi-colored paint splatter, white, red, cobalt, sky blue.
Who Should Wear It: Drew Barrymore, Rita Ora.
