Zooey Deschanel is bringing her flirty, girl-next-door sense of style to the masses with the help of Tommy Hilfiger and Macy’s.

The American designer and the star of Fox’s hit series, New Girl, created a collection of 16 dresses, following a chance meeting at a mutual friends home where they discovered they both shared a love for vintage. The capsule collection is called To Tommy, From Zooey and will arrive in 200 Macy’s stores on April 14th.

“She reminds me of Audrey Hepburn for her sense of humor, her sophistication,” Hilfiger told Women’s Wear Daily. “She is very bright and very funny, and really down to earth, the girl next door. At the same time, she has a Jackie O type chicness to her.”

“I am fashion fanatic, and I am always looking for new ways to incorporate vintage, feminine pieces into my own wardrobe,” the actress said. “Tommy and I share many of the same inspirations—old school music, classic films and old Hollywood icons—and his guidance during the design process really helped to put a unique twist on each piece.”

The dresses will retail for between $98 and $199. On April 21st, the entire collection will hit Tommy.com and Tommy Hilfiger anchor and specialty stores in North America, Europe, and Japan. Select Tommy Hilfiger stores will also carry Deschanel-designed jewelry and handbags.

What we really want to know is when is the nail polish line hitting shelves, Zooey? We’d love for you to give us that.
