Topshop took over The Surf Lodge in Montauk this weekend, in the very best way possible. Tying together fashion and music, the high street retailer set down roots at the beach-y resort for three days, inviting fashion insiders like Dree Hemingway and Scott Lipps out for a weekend of fun. During the day, a pop up shop took precedence, offering up styles straight from the British headquarters, but at night it was all about jam sessions by the water. While Mia Morretti, Caitlin Moe, Hannah Bronfman, and Chairlift entertained the fashionable crowd on Friday and Saturday, it was the final evening that truly brought the crowd to their feet.
When Sunday night finally arrived, guests took to the deck of The Surf Lodge, just in time for a breathtaking sunset. Cell phones popped out of pockets and Alexander Wang bags, resulting in a slew of filtered photos across everyone’s Instagram feed. As the very last bit of pink evaporated from the sky, The Kills’ Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart took to the stage, bringing not only their brilliant sounds to the beach but also a bit of their own pink – in the form of Alison’s newly dyed locks. The duo kept the crowd on their feet, as revelers delighted in the last few hours of the weekend, toasting to Topshop, The Kills, and one beautiful weekend in Montauk.
