Tory Burch is embarking on new territory with new projects.
She will pop-up in Paris on April 1st with a space at Galeries Lafayette, which will act as a precursor to a permanent 300-square-foot shop in iconic department store, Women’s Wear Daily is reporting.
The shop will also be a precursor to Burch’s long-term plans, it appears. “We’re not that well known in Europe yet, so I think it’s going to take some time,” Burch told WWD. “It’s about finding the right locations. We never wanted to in a rush; we want to take our time.”
In addition to more retail locations across Europe, Burch will branch out into men’s wear, starting with spring 2015 when the brand will offer small leather goods, tech accessories, belts and possibly footwear. Jeffrey Uhl left Coach Inc to work on both the men’s and women’s accessory range.
“I think we have a lot of potential [in Europe],” she said. “Ready-to-wear is performing really well here.”
“I would love to do special products for specific countries,” Burch continued. “As we go ahead and learn the territories, we’re going to do exclusives for each area.”
