As the weather teeters between brisk and only slightly chilly, we’re aggressively pushing the boundaries of #TightsTime, favoring bare legs as long as we can. Though the introduction of tights into our day-to-day wardrobe is an admission that it’s finally getting cold – one that we work so hard to avoid – as soon as September rolls around, we’re more than willing to pull out the sweaters, leather, plaids, and knits. What is it about the delicate balance? After a summer full of mini skirts, flowing dresses, tank tops, and shorts, everyone is more than ready to snuggle up in cozier fabrics, but so unwilling to don those ubiquitous tights. As we continue to toe the line of summer and winter in this transitional time of fall, here’s a look that provides the perfect balance of winter trends (flannel and leather accents) while maintaining summer’s favorites (bare legs with a skirt and ankle booties.)
