Trend to Try: Mismatched Earrings For the Rebel Within

By  January 29, 2014

It’s time to start thinking of your earrings as sisters, not twins. With unpolished style all the rage lately, mismatched studs and dangles add instant edge to your look. Miley Cyrus is an avid mixer and matcher of her earrings, though fashion a-listers like Zosia Mamet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Rihanna, Halle Berry, and Emma Watson have all been spotted sporting a complementing, rather than identical, set of earrings this season. If you’re keen to try the trend by coordinating earrings already in your jewelry box, make sure to stick to similar stones, styles, and colors so it’s apparent that you’ve purposely put on asymmetrical designs. Our suggestion, however, is to invest in a pair that have already done the coordinating for you in a devised set. We’ve rounded up our favorite 8 of the season.
