Trending Video: C-Pop and Angela Zhang

If K-Pop is Korean, we shouldn’t be surprised that the equivalent genre of music coming from China is called, wait for it, C-Pop. Within the musical category are three sub-genres: Cantopop, Mandopop and Hokkien pop, and they’re some of the leading tune groups in Asia. Taiwan native, Angela Zhang (Chang), is currently a top figure in the Asian mainstream music scene under the category of Mandopop. Her video “Invisible Wings,” has nearly 1 million views on YouTube merely a week and a half after being posted. Take a listen; are you down with the C-Pop?
