…and Uniqlo’s cool collaborations keep rolling in! We told you earlier this month that the Japanese retailer was teamin up with London-based designer Lulu Guinness for the second time, and today Uniqlo announced a new collaboration with Karen Walker!
The New Zealand designer is bringing her whimsy a to a dedicated line for women and kids. Her women’s line will include spring t-shirts, dresses, and skirts, plus an 18-piece collection for the kiddies called KW2 by Karen Walker. Think alphabet prints mixed with charming floral inspired by “child geniuses”.
“We drew inspiration from the look of Karen Walker collections with a little help from my five year old, Valentina, we picked out some of our beloved signature styles, such as frill hem sweatshirt dresses and boat pants, and restyle them for kids,” Walker told StyleCaster. “We then added plenty of fun new prints including super-cute math grid biro doodles of flowers, a trumpet and of course, the Karen Walker Bunny.”
Both collections, KW2 by Karen Walker and Karen Walker x Uniqlo, will be available in stores on June 3rd.
