Viva Dress Up Offers A Celebrity Approved Donation Option

By  October 12, 2013

Give a dress, buy a dress, and help others in the process–that’s what VivaDressUp is here for. Newly launched VivaDressUp is the first social commerce platform of its kind that allows anyone to crowdsource a dress drive and raise funds without the hassle of having to actually sell the dresses themselves. Say what?

Here’s how it works: The organizing group registers at Vivadressup.com to receive all the necessities they’ll need for the drive, including donor tax forms, shipping boxes, and return labels. They can designate the charity they’d like to donate to or proceeds can automaticly go to VivaDressUp’s charity partners, United Nations Girl Up and BuildOn. Once the frocks have been collected, they’ll be sent back to VivaDressUp who will then post them to their online sale at a set price. The average price of a dress is around $40 with celebrity donations and one-of-a-kind gowns exceeding $500.

Celebrity dress donations have already been received from Katy Perry, Colbie Caillat, Kristen Bell, Candace Accola and designer partners include Tracy Reese, Elle Macpherson Intimates and Lisa Perry. That’s a whole lot of star power going on. Now, will you be helping VivaDressUp refashion you in philanthropy style this season?
