Style Scoop: Vogue’s September Cover Is Officially Here, Cara Delevingne’s Latest Film, Piperlime Gets a Star-Studded Facelift

By  August 18, 2014

StyleScoopAug18The official Vogue September cover is here. We caught wind of the monumental spread last week, but we didn’t get a glimpse of the whole shebang until now. To refresh your memory, the cover shot (by Mario Testino) boasts not one but nine of today’s hottest models: Joan Smalls, Cara Delevingne, Karlie Kloss, Arizona Muse, Edie Campbell, Imaan Hammam, Fei Fei Sun, Vanessa Axente, and Andreea Diaconu. The September issue to end all September issues has arrived. [Vogue]

Cara Delevingne’s latest video venture was made in partnership with Vogue UK and Mulberry. As the face of the brand, Delevingne sits for an interview of sorts while cradling a baby lamb. Things we learned from the model this time around: she “can’t live without tweezers,” her happiest place is “my bed…or a bed, for sure,” she is “weird, trustworthy and crazy” according to herself and her motto is “stay cool, hang loose, admit nothing.” Yep, sounds about right. Piperlime just got a facelift. The new version of the shopping site will feature an elevated assortment inspired by the chic and covetable style of the Piperlime girl. In an evolved version of the site’s Guest Editor Program, the site will feature one influencer each day on-site for 25 days. First up is Chrissy Teigen, with appearances from Shoshanna Gruss, Poppy Delevingne, Claire Vivier, Julia Engel of Gal Meets Glam, ZZ Ward and Momofuku Milk Bar’s Christina Tosi. [Glam Inbox]

Gwen Stefani is no fashion newbie. She’s had a handle on her rocker-chic style for years now, and she’s even designed her own line. Now, she’s taking on affordable footwear with her new line Gx by Gwen Stefani. Previously exclusive to ShoeDazzle, the line will expand for spring. The collection of more than 40 styles will be introduced at select Nordstrom’s exclusively for one month. It will then roll out to Amazon.com, Shopbop.com, Belk and select independents. The late Lauren Bacall and her extraordinary wardrobe will be the subject of a retrospective exhibit at the Museum at FIT. While plans for the show were in the works before her death, Bacall wanted to ensure that it would be “high-quality—Diana Vreeland style.” The show will feature five of Bacall’s favorite designers: Norman Norell, Marc Bohan for Dior, Pierre Cardin, Yves Saint Laurent and Emanuel Ungaro.
