“[Halle Berry] brings talent, energy, generosity, and of course star power to a cause that is extremely important to me,” Kors told Women’s Wear Daily, who’s been apart of WFP since entering a long term partnership with the organization in January.
The kickoff for the campaign features two new versions of Michael Kors’ Runway watch created by the designer and the actress. For every watch sold, 100 meals will be provided to hungry children through WFP.
“Statistics show that women play a crucial role in defeating hunger,” the expecting mother said. “WFP is especially focused on providing assistance to women because, as mothers, teachers and entrepreneurs, they will improve the future for their families and communities. It’s an effort I’m eager to be a part of because I’m certain we can make a real and substantial difference in the lives of people in need.”
The watches launch in April in Michael Kors stores and MichaelKors.com.
