In the midst of the glimmering gowns, beautiful baubles, and of course the Golden Globes, themselves, all eyes will also be on the nominees tresses. We turned to L’Oréal Professionnel Artist and Celebrity Hairstylist Jennifer McDougall to get her insight on what looks the silver screen’s funny ladies might wear to the big event and how to get them.

Amy Adams
Prediction: Up, intricately styled chignon with a side part and pieces down
Face shape: Round
Hair Texture: Mediumthick
Get the look: To section hair, let hair cover ears, then section a triangle from middle back of head (occipital) to behind the ears. Use L’Oréal Professionnel True Grip to add texture to the mid-lengths and ends to prep the chignon. Create chignon and pin loosely at nape of neck. Twist the remaining hair softly back away from face into the chignon and secure. Apply L’Oréal Professionnel Artitexture to smooth and polish flyaways at the part line and sides of hair.

Julie Delpy
Prediction: Up, textured bun
Face Shape: Round
Hair Texture: Fine hair
Get the look: Set the hair with large hot rollers and L’Oréal Professionnel Infinium 3. Use L’Oréal Professionnel Volumetry Root Spray and L’Oréal Professionnel True Grip to add texture and volume, add a hair extension if desired to create a textured bun.

Greta Gerwig
Prediction: Soft and structured, down with one side swept back.
Face Shape: Oval
Hair Texture: Medium to fine
Get the look: Apply L’Oréal Professionnel Mousse Volupté to prep the hair. Blow-dry and set with L’Oréal Professionnel Infinium 2 and medium size curling iron creating a ‘S’ Wave. Create a sleek strong side part and tighly sweep the one side back behind the ear and secure with bobby pins. Finish with L’Oréal Professionnel Infinium 4.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus
Prediction: Down sleek, center part, soft wave on ends
Face Shape: Heart Shape
Hair texture: Wavy/curly, prone to frizz
Get the look:  Apply L’Oréal Professionnel Mythic Oil Reinforcing Milk to help prep and polish Julia’s hair leaving it looking glossy and smooth. Create a sleek center part. Blow dry with a large round brush. Flat iron the hair from roots to mid-lengths and large barrel curl the ends to create a soft curl. Brush the hair with a Mason Pearson sprayed with L’Oréal Professionnel Perfect Shimmer for added shine. Finish with L’Oréal Professionnel Lumi Control at the part to rid flyaways.

Meryl Streep
Prediction: Up
Face shape: Long
Hair texture: Fine + short hair
Get the look:  This look is great with soft pieces around the face and volume. A soft swept updo, side swept fringe lifted away from the face with hair wrapped smooth at the nape would compliment her.  Use L’Oréal Professionnel Volumetry Root Spray then blow dry with a round brush. Set the hair with a large barrel iron using L’Oréal Professionnel Infinium 2.
