Here in New York, September kicks off with the much hyped, much discussed Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. I love following the collections as much as the next girl, but if there’s one thing NYFW always does, it’s highlight my own sense of personal style. Which, admittedly, is much more no frills and efficient than some of the street style looks you might spot! I’ve been happy to see that this fall, fashion mags have been showing a more scaled down, minimalist look. One recurring trend: boots that hit just above the ankle. I absolutely adore this look with fall’s ubiquitous sweater dresses. In fact, I recently joined some girlfriends for brunch one cool Saturday morning, and donned my own favorite sweater dress and boots. The look is so chic and simple, yet it felt like I was in wool pajamas. Always a perfect combination, in my opinion.
For this month’s What to Wear, I’ve re-imagined my Saturday brunch look as a study in gray — this time, with fabulous Miu Miu heels and a lovely, ethereal scarf too. It’s efficient dressing at its finest.
