White House Black Market’s Turn as the Belle of the Ball

By  January 03, 2013

Michelle Obama‘s designer of choice for this term’s Inaugural Ball is still a guarded secret, but in the meantime, White House Black Market is preemptively stepping into the fashion credit game. As a sponsor for the Washingtonian Starry Night Inaugural Ball on Jan. 20 at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, the retailer has created  a limited-edition inaugural-inspired dress collection. Nine dresses make up the line, from cocktail designs to more elaborate beaded numbers. Creatively titled, “From Our White House to Yours,” White House Black Market’s designs will bring a touch of glamour to the exciting historical moment in fashion and politics.

Available online at White House Black Market and at four boutiques in The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City, Tyson’s Corner, Wisconsin Place, and Westfield Montgomery for $250-$300.
