Who Designed Blake Lively’s Wedding Gown?

By  September 10, 2012

Update: Lively wore a custom Marchesa gown with Christian Louboutin shoes and Reynolds was surely a handsome groom in his Burberry suit.

Blake Lively stole New York Fashion Week’s thunder when she and beau Ryan Reynolds secretly got married this weekend. And she was undoubtedly a beautiful bride. People.com is reporting that the Gossip Girl and her Green Lantern costar allegedly tied the knot Sunday evening in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. And though she has donned a wedding gown on set several times and is known to rock a white frock on the red carpet, we’re itching to find out which designer did the honors on her big day.

We’ve got the smart money on Marchesa as Lively has been spotted at countless presentations for the brand and seems to be tight with designer Georgina Chapman’s hubbie, Mr. Harvey Weinstein. It’s also highly likely that she opted for Chanel as the actress is one of Karl Lagerfeld’s muses and was the face of Chanel’s Mademoiselle handbags. But a style icon clearly has a plethora of choices and since she is now the star of Gucci’s latest fragrance campaign, where she essentially embodies the Première scent, she could have given Frida Giannini the honors. And then there’s always Valentino and Vera Wang, whose white dress she wore in her role as Serena Van Der Woodsen.

While we’re curious about the dress, we’re also eager to see the shoes she chose for her walk down the aisle. We’re assuming they were custom Christian Louboutin heels since Lively is besties with the designer, but one can never really predict admist the fickle fashion forces.
