I’m not too big on bourbon. But I’ll have to make an exception tomorrow for Derby day, since no Churchill Downs-inspired celebration is complete without a batch of Mint Juleps. I’ve scoured the internet for the perfect recipe, but because I don’t particularly love the flavor, it’s been a tricky task. This version, featured on Epicurious, made with crushed ice, minted simple syrup, bourbon, and mint, sounds as good as any. And after that first potent sip, it should go down as easily as a Skinny Girl margarita! Drink up and enjoy the Run for the Roses.
P.S. I just found this article on Southern Living… and these race-day cocktails are more my speed. Delish!
