Instagram is no longer the place for selfies and sunsets. It’s now the source of crazy body obsessions, wacky fashion trends, and weird beauty looks. If you’ve been keeping up with the latter, you’ll recognize the likes of nose hair extensions, glitter highlights, and ponytail brows. In most cases, amateur beauty enthusiasts experiment with these unconventional hair and makeup looks to score likes and shares on their social media accounts, which brings us to the latest look on our timeline: halo brows.

Hannah Lyne, a 16-year-old from the UK, first posted the look to Instagram on March 1. The image now has over 5,000 likes and countless comments, ranging from “Oh hell no” to “Seriously your work is amazing for your age.” And, apparently, the name was even dubbed by a commenter.

“I was having a conversation with a friend trying to come up with a new idea for a look, and all of a sudden it came to me that I should connect my brow tails,” Lyne told PopSugar. “This look was influenced by fishtail brows; seeing the way my brow flicked upwards inspired the idea of just carrying the brow on until it met in the middle.”

To get the look, she used NYX Tame & Frame Tinted Brow Pomade ($7; target.com), sweeping it up from the outer edge of each brow and connecting the two in the center of her forehead for what looks like a fresh take on the unibrow. Creative? Sure. Wearable? Definitely not.
