Carrie Underwood Revealed The Sex Of Her Baby Live At The CMAs
Last night, while hosting the CMAs for the 11th consecutive time, a very pregnant Carrie Underwood revealed the sex of her baby — and it’s a…boy!
“Remember last time when I accidentally revealed the gender of your baby? Tonight, we’re going to reveal something even more exciting — who your baby’s father is,” co-host Brad Paisley joked during the opening act. (ICYMI, Paisley accidentally revealed the gender of her first baby on stage in 2014.)
He then went on to press for some serious details. “Seriously Carrie, give me a little baby hint: Johnny or June? … Waylon or Willie?” he asked her.
To this the proud mom blurted, “It’s a Willie!” She was absolutely glowing while cradling her baby bump on stage as the audience cheered.
Underwood and husband Mike Fisher, an NHL player, have a 3-year-old son named Isaiah. The 35-year-old country singer announced she was pregnant with her second child in August, after admitting to suffering from three miscarriages. While she has not revealed her due date, many believe it’s before she is set to hit the road in May 2019.
Later in the show, Carrie performed her song “Love Wins” before taking home the award for Female Vocalist of the Year. How’s that for a gender reveal party?
