Another day, another internet troll coming for Chrissy Teigen. This time, they're attacking her figure after a photo surfaced of the 33-year-old on vacation with her husband, John Legend and children, Luna and Miles. What should have been a positive memory for the family, quickly turned into another example of body shaming.
The nastiness began when a Twitter user created a meme of the image, which shows Teigen standing in front of Legend in a pool, while she holds their one-year-old son. "When it suddenly hits you that your lady doesn't have any ASS," the caption reads, implying that Legend is unhappy with his wife's rear end. (Need we remind you trolls that he wrote an entire song about how much he loves every inch of his wife, all her "curves and imperfections"?)
The user has since made their Twitter account private, but not before the Queen of Clapbacks could reply: "It's been 13 years and he knew the first night we met :)" When the rude meme resurfaced on another account, Teigen replied on Twitter, saying: "Everyone is so used to ass shots and photoshopped Instagrams. I've had no ass forever -- is this new news to some of you?"
Teigen goes onto points out a sad truth: No matter what women choose to do (or not do) with their bodies, they'll be criticized for it. "F--kin lames wouldn't be able to stop blabbering if I got my ass done either. Bored as all hell, never can win!" she wrote.
Posters of the body shaming meme then attempted to cover up the intentions behind it, saying that they were only laughing at the funny face Legend is making. Don't worry, Teigen wasn't about to let that slide either. "His face, looking at my ass, so nah. I see the comments you know," she wrote. "Still enjoy you."
It goes without saying that Teigen looks incredible in a swimsuit, and her supporters are flooding her threads with kind words. "I'm so sorry chica we as women are always picked on about our looks and our bodies like we had any say in how God made us!! Smh," one user wrote. "Screw the haters! You're gorgeous inside and out," said another.
At the end of they day, though, the jokes on the trolls who created and shared this body shaming meme, because Teigen is focused on more important things. You know, like her super-successful modeling career, best-selling cookbooks, and hosting her new show Bring the Funny.
