Jennifer Lopez Shows Off Her Pole Dancing Moves In Preparation For ‘Hustlers’

Is there anything Jennifer Lopez can’t do? She’s a super talented singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress, plus an inspiring fitness influencer (c’mon, who can argue those abs?). And as if that’s not enough, now the multihyphenate star is perfecting a new skill: pole dancing.

In the upcoming film Hustlers, the 49-year-old actress plays a stripper from New York who bands together with her colleagues to outsmart a bunch of Wall Street guys. Along with her usual gym workouts, J.Lo is training for the role with an instructor from Cirque du Soleil, and it looks like her boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez, is getting a front-row seat to her rehearsals.

On Monday, Rodriguez posted several behind-the-scenes videos to his Instagram Story, and her moves are impressive. But what do you expect?

In the clip, J.Lo appears to be working with her instructor while “I’ve Had the Time of My Life” from Dirty Dancing plays in the background. Wearing sky-high stiletto heels and booty shorts, she swings her legs around the pole and spins like a pro. After landing, she catches her beau filming and strikes a cheeky pose, flashing a seductive smirk.

While J.Lo makes it look simple, pole dancing takes serious skill. In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live! last week, the fitness fanatic admitted just how hard it really is: “It’s very hard … I mean, I have bruises everywhere. It’s so hard. I have a lot of respect for people who do the pole. It’s, like, acrobatic. It’s different muscle groups and the things they do with their legs, upside down, I’m like, ‘What? I can’t… hold on. Can we do that part again,” she said.

In addition to dance lessons, Lopez is focused on strength training with her trainer. She also recently revealed that the no-sugar, no-carb challenge she started with Rodriguez was in preparation for the film. The project is said to begin filming in March 2019.
