The internet loves a #nomakeup selfie from stars, and Jessica Biel is the latest celebrity to join in the celebration of natural beauty. As part of Kate Upton’s #ShareStrong campaign, the 37-year-old actress recently posted a barefaced photo, and her followers are going absolutely crazy over it. The response comes as no surprise, considering how radiant and clear her complexion looks, but it’s the message in her caption that she really wants fans to see.
“Spreading some self love today with zero filter and zero makeup for my girl @KateUpton,” Biel wrote. “She’s on a mission to encourage everyone to feel strong and love themselves as they are… and I’m so honored to help spread that message. Take a second to show the real you. Tag someone you admire and pass it on ❤️💪#ShareStrong.”
Biel is just one of many celebs to join in on Upton’s campaign, which empowers women to share what makes them feel strong, whether that be a makeup-free face, hitting the gym or being a mother. “I want to open the conversation and give all people a platform to talk about all the struggles and strengths we experience,” Upton said of the hashtag. “That’s why I created #ShareStrong – a space where we all can be part of the conversation, empower one another, and radiate positivity.”
Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo joined the campaign with a photo of herself wrangling her two children with husband Adam Levine, one-year-old Gio Grace and two-year-old Dusty Rose. “Here’s to the sleepless nights, bleeding nipples, crying, laughing, the highest of highs and lowest of lows and everything in between,” she wrote on Instagram. “I won’t change a single thing. Being a mom to Dusty and Gio keeps me strong, motivated, and empowered. This is my #sharestrong thanks @kateupton for starting this.”
Actress Terri Hatcher also shared a makeup-free photo, but it’s her activism that makes her feel strongest. “I try to share, listen, love & forgive. It’s never too late to work hard to reach a goal you are passionate about. Taking care of my family, country, and planet is on the top of my list… It all starts with you. So put you at the top of your list too!” she wrote.
Over 3,400 others have joined in on the #ShareYourStrong movement, their stories ranging from cancer battles to motherhood triumphs to rocking their natural skin. All of them are equally inspiring, not to mention they serve as some serious Monday motivation.
“Your transparency and strength is so motivating! So let’s keep the conversation going,” Upton wrote on Instagram, responding to those who have taken part in the social media challenge. “Sometimes you need to take a moment away from the daily grind and reflect… No makeup. No filter. No bullshit. Take time today to reflect on our strength, and appreciate & inspire one another.”
