Another day, another rumor about Lady Gaga. As someone who just won an Oscar and is generally at an all-time high in her career, it's understandable why she has no time for tabloid nonsense. So when rumors began circulating that she's pregnant, with some even claiming that she didn't want to "reveal the identity of the dad," Gaga was quick to shut them down.
The multihyphenate star responded directly to fans via Twitter, dismissing the pregnancy rumors and casually mentioning that her 6th album is on the way. NBD.
"Rumors I’m pregnant? Yeah, I’m pregnant with #LG6," she wrote.
Gaga's last studio album, Joanne, came out nearly three years ago in 2016 and debuted at No. 1. Though she's been plenty busy since, her next release is a highly anticipated one, especially after the success of A Star Is Born. Fans are thrilled, as seen by the flood of support on social media.
The recent pregnancy rumor comes on the heels of all the speculation surrounding Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's relationship, after their ultra-cozy performance at the Oscars. To make matters even more suspicious to fans and media, Gaga ended her engagement with 49-year-old Christian Carino mere days before the awards show. But when Jimmy Kimmel questioned their relationship during her post-Oscars appearance on his show, she was quick to defend herself, saying: "Yes, people saw love and — guess what — that's what we wanted you to see."
Gaga then went on to explain that she and Cooper were telling a love story through their characters in the film, and nothing more. "Look, I've had my arms wrapped around Tony Bennett for three years touring the world," she said. "When you're singing love songs, that's what you want people to feel."
“I'm an artist,” she continued, “And I guess [Cooper and I] did a good job. And -- fooled ya!"
No further details about the album yet, but if her recent success is any indication of its caliber, it's sure to be her most exciting work yet.
