Almost a month after Meghan Markle gave birth to royal baby Archie, she's returning to the public eye looking stunning as ever. The Duchess of Sussex made her debut for the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony at Buckingham Palace, the Queen's official birthday celebration.
Markle, 37, rode alongside her husband Prince Harry, 34, in a horse-drawn carriage, rocking a navy blue cape-like dress, sleek bun, and navy hat. She was all smiles as she waved to those passing by, drenched in post-pregnancy glow. Kate Middleton was also in attendance, also stunning in a chic, pale yellow ensemble.
Baby Archie didn't join his parents for the outing, but its understandable that a newborn wouldn't tag along for such a noisy and crowded event. (Also, the new mom deserves a day out, am I right?)
Since Archie was born on May 6, Markle has only made one other appearance, posing for traditional royal family photos outside St. Georgie's Hall in Windsor Castle. The family has been settling into their new home at Frogmore Cottage, keeping these first few weeks private.
The new parents, who married in May 2018, gushed to reporters about how much they love parenthood so far. “It’s magic. It’s pretty amazing,” Markle said. "I have the best two guys in the world, so I’m really happy,” she added.
“It’s great. Parenting is amazing,” Prince Harry said. “It’s only been two and a half days, but we’re just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy.”
Welcome back, HRH!
